  • The BAA’s LIVE (18)

MAF teams up with The British Animation Awards (the BAA’s) to bring you one of the most prestigious events in the animation calendar to the big screen up here in Manchester! For the first time the BAA’s will be live streamed to venues around the UK so that the great and the good of the British animation world can be celebrating together on Thu 10 Mar!

We’ll be bringing you the festivities from University of Salford’s MediaCityUK building, in their state of the art Digital Performance Lab which plays host to one of the largest HD screens in europe! Before the ceremony begins, we’ll get warmed up for the event with a special screening of North-West animation talent and a drinks reception for everyone to mingle to their heart’s content.

Presented by comedian Miles Jupp and headline sponsored by Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe, the London ceremony will unveil the latest names to join the list of illustrious winners from past years which includes Nick Park, Joanna Quinn, Tim Burton, Martin Freeman, Simon Tofield and Gorillaz.

Tickets are £10 (plus booking fees) and includes two drinks and nibbles on the night.

Event schedule:
18:00 – 19:00 North-West Animation Screening.
19:00 – 20:00 Drinks Reception.
20:00 – 22:00 The BAA’s Award Ceremony, live from London.

Thanks to our Higher Education Partner University of Salford for supporting this event.
