Suzy Fagan Parr
Suzy Fagan Parr is a director and animator who has worked in the industry for over 25 years. Suzy studied Graphic Design at UWE, Bristol but spent her time there writing and making her own hand made stop motion films which were rooted in character and humour. Her work caught the eye of Aardman when she applied for their first Stop Motion Animation course, and since then has been a core member of their team.
Suzy first made the move from Lead Character Animator on a number of their features, to director when she negotiated the chance to direct 2 episodes of Shaun the Sheep Season 3, and from there went on as an Animation Director for Seasons 4 and 5 of the CG pre-school series, Chuggington for the BBC. Here she learnt how to direct large groups of remote animators as well as transferring her skills from stop motion to CG.
Suzy returned to animation when offered a role on Kubo and the Two Strings at Laika, Oregon and since then has alternated between lead animator roles and directing. Suzy is motivated to take every opportunity to direct that she can and so has directed interstitials for features promotion, Shaun the Sheep Season 6 as an Episode Director and currently has taken the role as Additional Sequence Director on CRDOTN.
