Anttu Harlin
Passionate storyteller and dynamic entrepreneur Anttu Harlin is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gigglebug Entertainment, a leading creator and producer of original kids’ content in the Nordics which is focused on bringing smiles to audiences worldwide. Harlin started Gigglebug Entertainment in 2013 together with his creative and business partner, Joonas Utti, with the mission of creating next-generation joy and making fun stuff with a purpose.
Since its inception, Gigglebug has developed a roster of joyful content and its original IP has been licensed to games, books, music, live events and consumer products. Harlin has played a pivotal role in many of the studio’s titles, with highlights including executive producing Disney’s 101 Dalmatian Street shorts and digital content as well as writing the original pitch for the series, and executive producing the shorts for Atomic Cartoon’s Netflix show Last Kids on Earth. He also executive produces and co-created The Unstoppable Yellow Yeti for Disney EMEA and Best & Bester for Nickelodeon International. Additionally, Anttu is co-creator and writer of Gigglebug, the company’s first hit TV series and app collection.
In 2023, Gigglebug Entertainment launched In Stitches, a sub-label dedicated to the creation of bold, offbeat and experimental animated comedy content for adult audiences.
Prior to Gigglebug Entertainment, Anttu co-founded and led the animation studio, Anima Boutique Oy. During his time at the studio between 2007-2013, he produced over 200 client projects specialised in character design and animation, for clients such as Disney, Nokia, Siemens and Rovio.
Anttu is a graduate from the University of Brighton in Theatre and Visual Arts. He is the ambassador of Finland in the European Emilie Animation Awards and regularly participates in animation events, including Kidscreen Summit, the Children’s Media Conference, Cartoon Digital, Cartoon Business, Cartoon Asia, Kids Want Mobile and Animation World Summit. He is also a member of Finnanimation, the Finnish Animation Producer’s Association.
