We need you to help make Manchester Animation Festival run smoothly!
Our call for volunteers for MAF 2023 is now open. If you’d like to volunteer submit the form below by Fri 22 Sep. We will inform successful applicants by Wed 4 Oct.
We are looking for people who are:
– Passionate about animation
– Completely reliable and free for at least three full shifts from 12-17 November 2023 (certain roles may be required a little more)
– Are able to work well in a team and on their own, and driven to help make Manchester Animation Festival one of the best audience experiences in the UK
– Are over 18 years old
Manchester Animation Festival are unable to cover travel expenses to the festival.

ROLES
You can apply for several different roles for Manchester Animation Festival:
– Volunteer – A general volunteer who helps the festival run smoothly, ushering, working on the delegate desk, overseeing events, mic running etc.
– Volunteer Team Leader – As well as doing the work of a volunteer above, you would be trusted oversee the schedule set by the Volunteer Coordinator ensuring everyone is where they are meant to be and all events are covered, in addition to working with the festival team to ensure events in your venue are running as planned.
– Guest Liaison Volunteer – A key role that involves meeting and greeting the many special guests that attend the Festival, plus working with our producers to ensure that guests have everything they need for an excellent visit to MAF and that their event schedule is kept to time. Confidence and a friendly manner is a must for this role.
– Data Collection Volunteer – Each year the Festival collects all sorts of data from our audiences to shape how we might develop events, partnerships and more in future editions. This role will involve interviewing and capturing data from our lovely audiences after events throughout the Festival.
– Photography Volunteer – We’re looking for photographers to cover a range of screenings, Q&As and events. You will create a selection of photographs to be used on the website, in social media, publications and promotions for the festival. You must have access to your own equipment.
