UK/UA Animation Lab Project Presentation

Over the past five months, participants of a joint project between the Skwigly Animation Magazine (UK) and LINOLEUM Festival (Ukraine) – as part of the UK/UA Animation Lab - have received a series of consultations from leading UK animation mentors on best practices for developing a short film or TV series project. Following their first presentation at LINOLEUM in September, they will pitch their projects to a UK audience for the first time at Manchester Animation Festival; sharing important insights into preparing a project for a pitch.

Alexandra Dzhiganskaya

Alexandra is an award-winning Ukrainian animation director. She holds a master of arts from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and her graduation film ‘Under The Endless Sky’ was shown at 100+ festivals worldwide; winning several awards.

Iryna Sosimovych

Iryna is a recent graduate (2022) from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts, an ambitious director with experience creating animated films that have been screened at many international animation festivals.

Olha Havrylova

Olha has held various positions within animation (screenwriter, storyboard artist, motion designer), both in creating original projects and collaborating with other directors.
