FESTIVAL PASSES

Passes allow you to get the most out of the festival and offer a cheaper alternative to several individual tickets!

So how do they work?

Buying a pass essentially allows you to gain a free ticket to each event/screening (excluding workshops, Academic Conference and Industry Day), HOWEVER, we do only allow you to pre-book guaranteed tickets for 3 events per day in advance, we then allow passholders to queue outside events for any spare seats on the day.

Why?

Well, allowing you to pre-book means that you have the guarantee that you can get into some of the events you want to, but ensures that everyone has a fair chance at some of the bigger events; and also makes sure that we don’t have empty cinemas as a result of people booking in everything and not attending.

What if an event is Sold Out?

All ticket holders need to be in their seats 5 minutes before the event/screening begins, because if the event is sold out, we allow pass holders to take any remaining seats.
We also ask that if you don’t think you’ll use your ticket, that you cancel it in your account and book onto something else.

Focus my bookings on Mon-Thu of the festival you say?

Yes! We recommend all people experiencing the festival with a festival pass aim their bookings for the Mon-Thu of the festival. Sunday & Friday of the festival are aimed at more of a general public audience who may only want to attend one event, and miss out on tickets Mon-Thu due to you pesky passholders. Passholder ticket allocations for Sun & Fri will be much more limited on these days so we highly advise that you arrange your trip around the Mon-Thu programming.

So how do I book?

Check out the programme online then buy your passes online through the links above, once you’ve bought your pass and are logged in – book via the links on our website! REMEMBER you can only pre-book 3 events a day and workshops, industry day & the academic conference are not included.

When you arrive at the festival we’ll give you a physical pass with a unique QR code on it which has all of your bookings tied to that code. Simply flash your pass at the events you’ve booked, and we’ll scan you in on entry; the process is exactly the same of any events you may queue for on the day – if there are available seats we’ll scan you in.

Can I access the online programme with my pass?

For sure! The online programme will run 19-26 November, and will consist of screenings, masterclasses and more. Check out our FAQ’s for more info on that. The online programme can be found here.

I clicked the link to buy but where have I been taken?

You have been taken to Eventive, our ticketing system for the festival, don’t panic just complete the process as normal. You can book event tickets either via our website (recommended) or via Eventive once purchased. Just make sure you are logged in!

GROUP BOOKINGS

We offer one free pass for a lecturer/organiser for every 10 passes booked. Please contact boxoffice@manchesteranimationfestival.co.uk to make group bookings with us smoothly. Please remember as a group there must be a dedicated group leader who will take responsibility for collecting all the tickets and passes on the day and distributing them.

INDUSTRY DAY PASSES

Gives you full access to all events taking place part of our Industry Day on Thu 17 Nov at the Anthony Burgess Foundation. On the schedule, filter by Industry Events to see what is included.
