Matt Rennie
Matt Rennie is Vice President, Content & Operations at the award-winning digital media company and premium kids’ and family AVOD network, WildBrain Spark, where he oversees the production, distribution and operational teams responsible for creative strategy and commissioning original content.
A veteran executive with more than 20 years’ experience in content and digital industries, he joined WildBrain Spark in 2020 and has played a pivotal role in establishing the company’s studio in London as a key driver for IP development and growth within WildBrain’s global strategy. Under Matt’s leadership, WildBrain Spark has commissioned original digital-first content for such notable properties as Caillou, emojitown, Teletubbies, Tiddlytubbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Ellie Sparkles, Boy & Dragon, and Slugterra.
Prior to joining WildBrain Spark, Matt was Managing Director at youth-focussed media and entertainment broadcaster, The Box Plus Network (‘Box’), during which time, he helped Box grow to >50% share of music TV by focusing creative strategy through original content production, digital methodologies, efficiencies, and innovations such as social/UGC programming and daily live TV broadcasts. Prior to this, Matt was at Global Radio, where he ran Classic FM’s record label and established Global’s TV business and customer data strategy. Matt has also held roles at online TV service SeeSaw, Homechoice (now TalkTalk), Virgin Media, Channel 4, and Warner Music Group.
