Matt Palmer
Matt fell in love with animating almost 35 years ago, and his enthusiasm for the craft has never
waned. An animator at heart, he is rarely happier than when he is bringing characters to life.
His animation career started at Cosgrove Hall Films in the mid-’90s on a variety of children’s TV
shows including Noddy, Bill & Ben, Postman Pat, and Engie Benjy working as an Animator,
Supervising Animator, and Animation Director. In 2004 Matt moved south to work as an Animator on
Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, before returning to Manchester to work as Studio Director and Senior
Animator on the TV series Fifi and the Flowertots and Roary the Racing Car.
In 2007 Matt moved his animation skills to game development when he joined the games company
TT Fusion. Working as Head of Animation/Animation Director, he supervised the animation teams
for titles that include LEGO® City Undercover, The LEGO® Movie Videogame and LEGO® Star Wars:
The Force Awakens.
Matt is now back to hands-on animating and works as Lead Animator at d3t, a co-development
games studio, where he and d3t’s in-house animation team, work alongside animators, character
artists, and designers from some of the best games studios on some of the world’s best-known and
best-loved games.
