Put a Stick In It
Put a Stick In It is a mixed-media comedy about a grandfather teaching his grandchildren a lesson through a childhood experience. The film has won a myriad of awards, including the Vanishing Angle Post Grant, and has been screened at Animation Block Party, Les Sommets and AVIFF, among others. It was co-written, storyboarded and directed by Austin Kimmell, co-written and had production design by his father, Todd, and was narrated by his grandfather, James. The filmʼs plot was based on events from Jamesʼ childhood. The film was made at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, produced/distributed by Vanishing Angle and was crafted within the United States.
