Girls’ Hair

Girls’ Hair

Dir. Klara Thafvelin | Sweden

A boy struggles to save a plant in a barren desert. A man loves a woman who doesn’t love him and the mare who fell during the night can’t be saved. Girls’ hair is about growing up in a world without clear boundaries between violence and tenderness, the ugly and the beautiful. It’s about wanting to save something fragile but also accepting that everything living eventually will decay.
